The 100% Open Time guarantee does not apply to Flight Attendants holding a Reserve line. However, all Open Time actually flown will be paid above guarantee. A Reserve who picks up and flies Open Time will be paid the greater of
· 75 hours (minimum guarantee)
· Actual flying assigned from reserve
PLUS any Open Time actually flown
Example: You are assigned 60 hours of flying as a Reserve. In addition, you pick up 10 hours of Open Time, and 3 hours of it cancels. Your pay for the month will be the greater of:
60 hours (Reserve flying)
PLUS: Actual Open Time Flown (7)
In this case you will be paid 75 + 7 = 82 hours.
Example: You are assigned 80 hours of flying as a Reserve. In addition, you pick up 10 hours of Open Time, and 3 hours of it cancels. Your pay for the month will be the greater of:
75 hours (Minimum guarantee) or
80 hours (Reserve flying)
PLUS: Actual Open Time Flown (7)
In this case you will be paid 80 + 7 = 87 hours.
Example: You are assigned 60 hours of flying as a Reserve. In addition, you drops one day of Reserve availability and you also pick up 10 hours of Open Time. None of the Open Time cancels. Your pay for the month will be the greater of:
71.25 hours (adjusted guarantee – 75 hr. guarantee – 3.75 VOD)
60 Hours (Reserve flying)
PLUS: Actual Open Time Flown (10)
In this case you will be paid 71.25 + 10 = 81.25 hours.
