Assigned New Flying

If you are assigned new flying during the month, your guarantee changes, as does your cancellation guarantee. You will once again be paid the greater of the minimum monthly guarantee (75 hrs.) your actual flight time for the month or 96% of the scheduled hours on your final bid award. The difference is that the scheduled hours on your final bid award will be adjusted and increased by the amount of hours added as a result of the assigned new flying.

Example: You are awarded an 82-hour line. You are assigned 6 hours of new flying during the month. Nothing cancels. You will be paid the greatest of:

75 hours (minimum guarantee)

Actual flying = 88 hours (82+6)

96% of 88 hours = 84 hours 29 minutes [(82+6)(.96)]

Since 88 hours is the greatest, this is what you will be paid.

Example: You are awarded a 78-hour line.  You are assigned 10 new hours of new flying during the month, and 7 hours of your flying cancels. You will be paid the greatest of:

75 hours (minimum guarantee)

Actual flying = 81 (78+10–7)

96% of 88 = 84.5 [(78+10)(.96)]

Since 84.5 is the greatest, that is what you will be paid.
